A quote from CNN:

Bush told reporters he would be "madder than heck" racial profiling was a factor in the agent's removal from the flight.

Well, I'm sure glad he cleared that up. ::sigh:: ...off to work.

Just for shits and giggles, (and keep your shits to yourself) I think I'm going to keep a list of the movies I watch in 2002. I'm not sure if I'll try to write something about them as I see them, or if it'll just be a list. I'm going to at least try to give some sense of what I thought of them. It'll very likely be kept up to date online, somehow. I'll keep you posted.

...I saw The Royal Tenenbaums right at the end of 2001, so it won't be on the list, but it kicked ass. Whoever you are, you have no excuse for not seeing it. :)

Okay, here we go...it's the 2001 Year in Review: The Good, The Bad, and The Ass Nasty...

The Good
- The band...Angstrom in da house.
- New project at work. It's a good thing since I was ready to gnaw through my wrists.
- Matt and Bobbi Jo moved here.
- Joslyn moved here. (I think that was 2001, and not 2000...)
- Found a place here to water ski in the summers.
- Fugakyu is still the best sushi I've ever had, and it's only 7 miles away.
- Yay wonderful circle of friends, both old and new, from both where I live now and my hometown. You know who you are. :)
- Yay meeting cool new people. I'd name them all, but I'd dimwittingly forget someone and then feel bad about it. You know who you are. :)
- A new-to-me Cherokee which works, unlike my old Cherokee.
- A better relationship with Mom.
- Kept up a solid exercise program for 6 months.
- Europe.
- Blogger, and therefore the return of my writing regularly...it's a healthy thing for me.
- Memento.
- My friendship with Kathy has become less volatile.
- Gonads and Strife.

The Bad
- September 11th.
- A good friend of mine who shares my first name moved. He's not too far away, but we don't see as much of him as we used to.
- That almost relationship.
- Failed to keep up a solid exercise program for more than 6 months. :)
- A little tension with my brother.
- Holly, one of the family dogs, died. She'd been sick though, so it wasn't a surprise.

The Ass Nasty
- Bush. Yeah, he was "elected" last year. It still sucks this year.
- That one net.date. ...karma owed me one, but now we're even.
- The bottom of the 9th.

All in all...when I was 24, in 2001, it was a very good year. A vast improvement over 2000. Some goals for 2002? (yay, more lists!)
- Have fun.
- Back to the gym with my sorry software developer ass.
- World domination.
- Redefining the face of rock and roll. ;)
- Kick some ass at work.
- Keep my now clean car clean, and clean up my pig sty bedroom. Then keep that clean, too.

That's about it. When writing out that goal list, I at first wrote something like "find a cool woman and date her." However, I don't know if that's a goal I can readily make happen all on my own. I met some cool women in 2001, but things just didn't work out. I don't feel like I particularly did anything to mess things up, either, with any of those situations. So, I think I'll just keep on keepin' on in that department.

Have a good year, everyone.

The spellchecker is bye bye. God help us all.

Blogging from NY while home for break is, in theory, easy. Step One, use Dad's computer to log on to the 'net. Step Two, go to blogger.com. Step Three, blog. However, I have found that, in practice, it is not as easy as it sounds.

I'm back in MA, and so I'm back on the blogger...
